Great finishes for the Men's Ltwt Four - Joe Armstrong (4), Joe Campbell (3), Max Dieckmann (2), Greg Swain (1) and Ryan McLeod (cox) - who finished SECOND in a very exciting race in the FINAL and Carly Greer and Gayle Ketchie with a 9th place in the Women's Ltwt Double at the National Youth Championships in Lake Harsha in Cincinnati! Novice Regatta (Lake Merced) and Varsity Round Robin (Redwood Shores), March 1 and March 2 - travel attire: khakis, team polo, black belt, team jacket, leather black or brown shoes. No check-on baggage, carry-on only. Keep in mind liquid regulations (3 oz or smaller containers in 1 liter zip-lock baggies). San Diego Indoor Classic - happening today! Head down to the boathouse to cheer the Juniors on to their best erg times and perhaps new "PR's". 10 am - ??

5th ANNUAL ROW-A-THON - our biggest fundraising event of the year is this Saturday, Jan. 26th - Sunday, Jan. 27th (9 am - 9 pm)! Our Junior Rowers and Coaches are planning 24 hours of non-stop rowing activities. The coaches will post schedules and organize the groups. Our parent volunteers are standing by. Visit the "Row-A-Thon" link to the left for appeal letter and more information.

SDRC Junior Crew's Robert Poole has been chosen as one of 18 young rowers to represent the US at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Beijing, China, August 8-11th. Robert was invited to participate in the National Selection Camp in New Jersey from June 11 - July 9. After several more intense weeks of training, the rowers will depart for China on July 28th. Robert's selection to the Junior Team was based on National Team Testing, athlete's compatibility with the rest of the crew, competitive performance during training sessions and overall performance at the Selection Camp. Congratulations, Robert, and good luck in Beijing!
