SDRC has always had open and elite athletes training periodically at its facilities. From 1992 until the present, SDRC saw many athletes come through its doors who were striving to train at the ARCO Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista.

SDRC is currently running a US Rowing sanctioned Development Sculling Camp for men and women athletes. The program began on June 10th and will culminate with crews racing at the U.S. National Championships in July at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis.
